Jobs and Gay Marriage

by

Yeah, we know. What in the world does one have to do with the other? That’s a good question for Texas Gov. Rick Perry. Here’s what he said recently on the campaign trail (partial audio here):

“There is still a land of opportunity, friends — it’s called Texas. We’re creating more jobs than any other state in the nation. … Would you rather live in a state like this, or in a state where a man can marry a man?”

Seriously? That’s the choice for voters this year, Gov. Perry?

We have a better question for Texans: would you rather live in a state governed by someone who takes your vote seriously or someone who thinks pandering is the ticket to office?

UPDATE: Listening to the audio, it sounds like Gov. Perry’s last sentence was: “Would you rather live in a state like this, or do you want to live in a state where guys can marry guys?”

The polls have gov Dumb()() and Bill White even. This isn’t even going to be close. The education issue as it relates to jobs and the future of the Texas economy will be front and center.
Watch for d-a to try to excite some kind of gay issue or border issue to save his bacon.

Hey, what do you expect from a creep like Rick Perry? He’s one of the sleaziest pols I’ve ever seen. I place him with Shrub, Cheney, Nixon and a few others that slip my mind at the moment.

Unfortunately for us, he is going to win again!!! Why? Because Republicans do not think. They just do as they are told and vote over and over and over for a guy who should, IMHO, be in prison. Not only is he a homophobe, but he squanders our tax dollars on a lavish style. Heck, I still miss Dolph.

    Have a great weekend, y’all.

Call me a dreamer, but I’d like to live in a state where people with access to the public forum have mastered the ability to compare and contrast.

Id rather not live in any stat, content in the fact that I live in the Uk and I am free from this bulls***. Seriously the only reason this guy would get any votes if because there are people in america as stupid as he is. Why won’t people use thir brains? I wish people would wake and embrace reality, stop the fear mongering and see humanity for what it is. Watch the Pale Blue Dot by Carl Sagan on youtube, it sums it up.

Ryan, you want Republicans to use their “brains?” WHAT brains?

I was almost amused by the bunch of Muslims who were rioting in some Arab country. Republicans remind me of those mindless Arabs, but the Arabs at least have a valid excuse; they are, for the most part, illiterate and do what they are told. Why? Because they live under despotic dictators. What is the Republican’s excuse?

Do you remember one of the British papers headlined “How Stupid Can They Be?” or words to that effect after Shrub was re-elected? I could not have agreed more if I tried. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, the GOP is like the German people. Whatever the Fuhrer says, they do. If the nuts get a chance to take over this country it will mean the end of sanity. Can anyone picture Palin as president? The thought makes me nauseous.

You’re lucky you live where you do. On the other hand, you’ve got your own groups of wierdos, eh wot?

Bill White says “Texas should lead”. Rick Perry says “Texas should leave”. We will have a civil war here in Texas if we try to secede from the union. When Texas became a state we were given the future option to divide into 5 different states if we wanted to. We were not given the optio to secede. Perry never learned the lessons of the American Civil War. According to the SBOE the South won.

The GOP just recognizes that a certain percentage of the population is greedy, and 50% of the population have an IQ under 100. In many instances (overlap of these two categories taken into account), this will result in an electing majority.
